Alex Hall is a leader, and she commands respect in the tattoo community. Calling both Texas and Minnesota her homes, she’s tattooed in both locations. Her career evolving again when she started her own shop in 2021.

I first worked with Alex on her personal logo, taking design nods from 1970’s psychedelic posters and tarot card symbolism alike. Using a sun and moon, with pairing Art Nouveau font.

When she was building her tattoo shop in Lower Town St. Paul, she contacted me again to design her logo and word mark. Emulating the cool composure of a cigar lounge, sophisticated textures, and symmetrical lines I came up with the seven-pointed North Star.
